Stressometer ADTM50

Dimensions of the main case : 138 mm x 190 mm x 50 mm (appr. 51/2" x 71/2" x 2").
Dimensions of the accelerometric sensor : 130 mm x diameter 42 mm (appr. 51/2" x 2").
Connexion of the sensor to the electronic circuit : by extensible 4-conductor wire.
Weight of the main case (including batteries) : approx. 450 grams (approx. one pound).
Weight of the accelerometric sensor (including connexion wire) : approx. 100 gr.
Temperature range : use between 0°C and +40°C, storage between -10°C and +50°C.
Energy consumption : approx. 0.01 W (2.5 mA under 4.5 V).
Power supply : 4.5 V DC, with three standard batteries of 1.5 V type AA LR6 of a capacity of approximately 1.500 mA.h (approx. 600 hours of power supply).
Lifetime of a set of batteries in the 20 SECOND MEASURE mode : approx. 100 000 measures of 20 seconds, i.e. approx. 10 years with 20 measurements/day.
Duration of a set of batteries in the CONTINUOUS MEASURE mode : approx. 5 years if used continuously during 10 minutes each day.
Automatic stop : after 1 minute of total immobility of the sensor (to save the batteries and therefore contribute to the protection of the environment).
Band width : 3 to 20 Hz. This enables the measurement of all types of human physiological tremors, emotional and psychological tremor, senile tremor, essential tremor, and all types of human tremor.
The result is displayed in TNR COMBY units between 0 and 999 : the REFERENCE SCALE is a linear accelerometric scale. A sine-wave signal at 10 Hz of 1 µm in amplitude corresponds to 6 TNR units : 1 TNR UNIT = 6,66 x 10-4m/s2 = 0,167 micrometer of amplitude at 10 Hz.
The CONTINUOUS MEASURE mode :
By simply pressing the CONTINUOUS MEASURE button, in this
mode, the tremor level of the subject is continuously displayed.
While observing the variations of the tremor ("biofeedback" or
"tremor monitoring"), the patient can perform stress management and
educational exercises (relaxation, meditation, self-hypnosis,
concentration, respiration
) to control his emotions or manage
his stress. The subject thus progressively learns, through
biofeedback training, a better control of his nervous system.
TNR gives a direct image of the subject's nervous
activity. It is more direct and more precise for biofeedback use than
temperature or GSR (galvanic skin resistance). The
STRESSOMETER is therefore used by a number of
biofeedback practitioners.
Such educational sessions can last typically 5 to 10 minutes. Used in
this mode, the STRESSOMETER helps reduce nervous
disorders and increases one's neuromuscular coordination and
stress-control (applications for students preparing exams and sports
competition).
In the CONTINUOUS MEASURE mode, the STRESSOMETER is more
than a measuring instrument : it is an educational, interactive
biofeedback instrument which contributes in reducing stress, gaining
better control of one's emotions, and improving one's neuromuscular
precision, control and performance.
The 20 SECOND MEASURE mode : By simply pressing the 20 SECOND MEASURE button, in this mode, the STRESSOMETER measures the Tremor of the Nervous system at Rest (TNR) of the subject during 20 seconds. The signal is treated electronically to eliminate the irrelevant vibrations. The result then appears on the liquid cristal digital display. In this 20 SECOND MEASURE mode, comparisons can be made between individuals, and the evolution over time of an individual's TNR can be followed, in respect to changes in his activities, lifestyle, training, and/or nutritional balance (diet strongly influences tremor). If the TNR is repeatedly located in the « High » or « Very high » zone, it is strongly advised to consult a physician.
The electronic circuit of the ADTM 50 version of the STRESSOMETER measures the human nervous tremor which is influenced by stress and emotions: it is a portable version that can be carried and used in a wide variety of circumstances by : the public, corporate stress management programs, training to sports competition, and professionals of stress management.
User friendly : the STRESSOMETER offers high precision measurements, but yet it is user-friendly and simple to use, thanks to highly integrated technology : the electronic system of the ADTM50 will do all the treatments and calculations automatically. Just respect the measuring position, press the ON button and choose your measurement mode (CONTINUOUS or 20 SECOND).
Main case : modern, and elegant design (made in Paris) of the sensor and casing. The Stressometer is delivered to the customer as a complete ready to use stress-reducing method including : the Stressometer, the high precision sensor, the casing, batteries, user's manual and exercizes to reduce one's stress.
High precision sensor : to be held in the dominant hand : right hand for right-handed, left hand for left-handed.
